As part of a family-owned group of early learning centres with more than 30 years of experience, Grimshaw St ELC provides a warm, welcoming environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. Our play-based curriculum, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, is enriched by exclusive programs including Playground to Plate® Food Garden Program, The Art Studio, Languages, and Mindfulness and Movement. Through meaningful experiences and intentional teaching, we inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Curriculum & Programs
Our curriculum is developed in partnership with families, developmental and pedagogical experts, and experienced Early Childhood Educators. Grounded in a play-based philosophy, it supports children to learn, explore, and grow through intentional teaching, meaningful experiences, and responsive environments.
Playground to Plate®
Food Garden Program
Delivered by a professional, qualified Garden Educator, Playground to Plate® is an engaging food garden program designed to help children build a positive, hands-on relationship with food and the environment from infancy through to school age. Inspired by the simple joy of growing up in Grandparents’ gardens, picking tomatoes straight from the vine, digging in the soil, and learning through nature, the program brings those same timeless experiences into Early Childhood learning. As children plant, nurture, harvest, and share, they gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from and, in turn, develop a strong sense of connection, curiosity, and care for the natural world.
